We are a group of curious researchers

About us

We are a group of curious scientists based at the University of Amsterdam and Leiden University in the Netherlands. We are interested in understanding how infants, children, and youth develop their capacities to navigate the complex social world.  We use a variety of methods, including behavioral experiments, precise observations, tests, interviews, and neuro-physiological measures to study infants, children, and youth in the social context with a shared passion of promoting healthy social development. We share our findings in peer-reviewed academic journals and we translate this knowledge into insights, stories, and tools for parents, educators, and caregivers.
